Mateo Cristancho

Client and Investments Associate

Mateo Cristancho is a Client and Investments Associate at FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Before joining FitzRoy, Mateo worked as an Investment Analyst at Global Kandor Advisors in Bogotá and Miami, where he focused on investment strategies and portfolio management, supporting key clients through comprehensive market research, portfolio rebalancing and detailed financial reporting. Prior to this, Mateo worked at JP Morgan Chase in Bogotá as a Relationship Partner Analyst, assisting corporate commercial banking clients.

Mateo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Sergio Arboleda in Bogotá, Colombia, and a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami.

Mauricio Alvarado

Reporting and Operation Analyst

Mauricio Alvarado is the Reporting and Operations Analyst at FitzRoy Investment Advisors. Prior to joining FitzRoy, Mauricio was an Operation Analyst at Kawa Capital Management in Miami and was involved in derivatives pricing & monitoring, as well as managing trade flows and audit requests.

Mauricio holds a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University in New York.

José Andrés Fernández

Managing Partner

José is the Managing Partner and a Founder of FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

José has more than 30 years experience in banking and finance, having worked for one of the world’s largest investment banking and wealth management firms (UBS) between 1994 and 2011.

José started his career in fixed income research in 1994 in New York and in 1996 moved to capital markets origination.

In 2000 José transferred to London with UBS, where he was in charge of debt capital markets origination for financial institutions in Spain, Portugal and France.

In 2007 José became Desk Head for the Americas at UBS Wealth Management in the UK, leading a team of seven professionals with over $3.5bn of assets under management.

José left UBS in 2011 to set up FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

José holds a MPhil from Cambridge University and a BA (Hons) from Bristol University.

Noah Ferber

Wealth Management Analyst

Noah Ferber is a Wealth Management Analyst at FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Prior to FitzRoy, Noah started his career as Funding Analyst at Axion Funding Solutions, where he analyzed financial statements for several corporate clients and assisted in the preparation of investment proposals, presentations and analysis.

Noah has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Quantitative Economics and Legal Studies from the University of Miami (UM).

Evan McKay

Client and Investments Associate

Evan McKay is a Client and Investments Associate  at FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Prior to FitzRoy, Evan gained financial experience as a sector-head Analyst at the University of Miami’s CAT-5 Student Management Investment Fund, followed by an internship at Saybrook Fund Advisors in California.

Evan has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami (UM).

Reconciliation and Reporting Associate

Aloisio Guimarães is the Reconciliation and Reporting Associate at FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Before joining FitzRoy, Aloisio gained vast experience in Finance Operations as Post-Trade Settlements & Portfolio Valuation Associate at Pan American Zinc in Miami.

Aloisio holds a Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Analytics, both from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami.

Nicholas Jimenez​

Client and Investments Associate

Nicholas Jimenez is a Client and Investments Associate at FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Prior to FitzRoy, Nicholas started his career as an intern at NewEdge Wealth, where he worked on the investment side.

Nicholas has a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Miami, and a BSBA in Finance from the University of Florida.

Alfredo Gonzalez

Client and Operations Director

Alfredo Gonzalez is the Client and Operations Director at FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Alfredo started his career as an intern at LW Investment Management where he worked on the Asset Management side. Prior to joining FitzRoy Investment Advisors Alfredo worked for International Finance Bank (IFB) in Miami in a variety of roles across Corporate Syndication Credit, Treasury and Accounting.

Alfredo worked for FitzRoy Investment Advisors between 2016 – 2017 as a Junior Analyst and joined again as an Investments Associate in 2020 after his experience at IFB.

Alfredo has a BA in Business Administration from FIU (Florida International University).

Catarina Silva

COO and Finance VP

Catarina Silva is the COO and Finance VP of FitzRoy Investment Advisors.

Catarina has over 20 years’ professional experience in investment banking, strategy consulting and the corporate sector.

Catarina joined Morgan Stanley in London in 2001, where she worked as an analyst in the investment banking division of the firm.

In 2003 Catarina joined the debt capital markets group of UBS in London, working in the structuring and marketing of bond issues for borrowers in Europe.

Catarina left UBS in 2005 to work for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Lisbon and Madrid, focusing on advisory projects in the banking and telecoms sectors.

After graduating with an MBA from London Business School in 2008, Catarina joined the finance department of PepsiCo. Between 2008 and 2015 Catarina held various positions at PepsiCo in the UK and Switzerland, including M&A and Strategy Manager for Europe and Global Director of Strategic Planning for the Pepsi Lipton Ice Tea Joint Venture. She joined FitzRoy Investment Advisors in 2015.

Catarina has an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Economics from CATÓLICA-LISBON School of Business & Economics in Portugal.
